Dr Jinesh Dattani has over 12 years of clinical experience, with expertise spanning general practice, dermatology, minor surgery and medical education. His work spans both NHS and private healthcare. He is a Principal GP Partner at Sangam Surgery, where he provides community-based dermatology clinics and minor surgical services. He also provides specialist dermatology consultations through a private clinic in Barking.
Dr Dattani holds the Specialty Certificate Examination (SCE) in Dermatology, awarded by the Royal College of Physicians.
Dr Dattani has a strong commitment to medical education. He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire, where he teaches on the postgraduate MSc in Skin Lesion Management. He is also an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, contributing to teaching on the MBBS programme. He has extensive experience teaching medical students, doctors and other healthcare professionals.
His clinical interests include clinical dermatology, skin lesion assessment, dermoscopy, complex skin disease and skin surgery, with experience across primary, community and secondary care. He has presented his work at national conferences, including BSSCII, Society of tissue viability, the Annual GP Conference and SAPC, and sits on the L'Oréal (CeraVe) Advisory Board.
